KNUTH,
Timothy M.
Timothy M. Knuth, son of Claus Jr. “Bud” and Maylo (Wilton) Knuth, was born April 29, 1953, at Neligh. Tim grew up on the family farm north of Royal, a place he would call home the rest of his life. He attended rural school near the family home and later attended grade school and middle school at Royal before graduating from Creighton High School in Creighton in 1971. After receiving his education, Tim farmed with his parents.
On Sept. 20, 1975, he was married to Connie Wood at the Plainview Methodist Church. The couple were blessed with three children: Jeremy, Angie and Gina.
Tim and Connie worked side by side on the farm, where they raised their family. Tim and Connie were hard workers and during their farming career milked cows, raised hogs and did grain farming, building a very successful farming operation. In the last few years, Tim had focused the operation primarily on row-crop farming and stock cattle.
Although work and family were his primary devotion, in his free time Tim had many hobbies. In his younger years, he found much delight in sports such as water skiing and snow skiing. In more recent years, his interests turned toward his love for dirt bikes and motorcycles. One accomplishment Tim was very proud of was receiving his pilot’s license in 2012, and just like his father, he loved to spend time flying his plane.
Tim was a very helpful person and would do anything to help a friend or stranger out if they were in need. Whether it was pulling someone out of the ditch or helping a neighbor on the farm after an illness or loss, he was always willing to lend a hand.
This was further evidenced by the numerous boards Tim served on, including the Zion Lutheran Church Council, the EAA flying organization, the NRD board, the board of directors of Northeast Nebraska Mutual Insurance based in Plainview and most recently the Antelope County Airport Authority.
Tim was a very hard-working, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son who touched so many lives during his time here on earth and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tim is survived by his wife, Connie Knuth of rural Brunswick; son Jeremy (Michele) Knuth of Omaha (their children, Sofia and Henry); daughters Angie (Tim) Goldsberry of Keller, Texas (their children, Turner and Noah), and Gina (Michael) Moser of Elgin (their children, Elizabeth, Lillian and James); sisters Jill (Jay) Fuchtman of Creighton and Sonya (Jason) Simons of Royal; parents Bud and Maylo Knuth of Royal; mother-in-law Alice Wood of Creighton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Wood.
