SCHENK, Henrietta

(Maiden Name: Beuse)

Henrietta Schenk Deceased Henrietta Schenk was born at Bremen, Germany in 1843. On August 16, 1866 she was married to Justus Schenk to which union five children were born; two boys and three girls. She came to America with her husband in 1886 and they established a home in Brown County where their children all grew to manhood and womanhood and married. For thirty years they proved themselves a friend and neighbor to the many who knew them. On Nov. 24, 1916, Mr. Schenk passed away and Mrs. Schenk who has had poor health for a number of years has been especially so the past few months since her husband’s death. On Sunday evening, March 11, 1917 the white, winged angel of mercy took her, and thus the separation of husband and wife was short. While sons and daughters mourn the loss of a loving mother, father and mother are once more united and are before the throne of God in that celestial realm. Funeral services were conducted at the home of Otto Schenk, Wednesday, Mar. 14, by Rev. W. Gregory. A quartet from Johnstown, Mrs. Cameron, Miss Pearl Chase and.. Messrs Beebout and Ness furnished the music, and the remains were laid to rest beside her husband.
