Dolores R. Stoltenberg, 77, of Lincoln, died Friday, April 12, 2013 at her home. Visitation will be at First Lutheran Church in Rockport, Mo., on Monday April 15 from 5-7 p.m. In honoring Dee’s wishes to be cremated there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at First Lutheran Church in Rockport, Mo. Memorials may be directed to her family to designate at a later date. Condolences can be left at www.lincolnffc.com Dolores R. Stoltenberg was born Dec. 7, 1935 in Washington, Mo, the daughter of George and Mabel (Funke) Smith. She graduated from Nebraska City High School in Nebraska City with the class of 1953. Dolores received her teaching degree from Peru State, and later graduated from Tarkio College in Tarkio, Mo. with a BA. She married Del A. Stoltenberg in 1956 in Nebraska City. Dolores taught at West Nodaway School and other middle schools in northwest Missouri. She was a long time resident of Rockport, Mo. and was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Dolores loved her family and enjoyed playing bridge and making jewelry. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Del of Lincoln; children, Jay Stoltenberg (Ann) of Wall Lake, Iowa, Tracy Garber of Macon, Ga., Missy Vollmer (Mark) of Hamilton, Mo., and Jon Stoltenberg (Jennifer) of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, John Smith (Mary) of Aurora, Colo.; sister, Steph Wisecarver (John) of Maple Lake, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents.
