SCHENK, Helen Berniece

Helen Foster Schenk Helen Berniece Foster was born March 12, 1919 at Long Pine, Nebraska, the second child of Guy Clayton Foster and Ruth Gerda Barrett. She attended Mabelo Grade School and graduated from Johnstown High School with the class of 1937. The Foster family consisted of five children: Grazia, Helen, Kenneth, Phyllis and Paulina. On March 10, 1937 Helen was united in marriage to Justus George Schenk. They were blessed with three children: Deanna, Marvin Wayne, and Shirley. Deanna Ruth Schenk of Wood Lake, Nebraska was born January 4, 1942 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. She married Bruce Reyman of Wood Lake on December 27, 1959. Bruce and Deanna have two daughters, Gina Lea Reyman of Hillsborough, North Caroline was born July 25, 1962 at Ainsworth and Dana Rea Reyman of Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska was born May 29, 1964. Their granddaughter Eleri Fairfield Reyman was born August 4, 2004 in Durham, North Carolina. Gina is an attorney with Legal Aid in Durham, North Carolina. Dana lives in Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska after having traveled for many years as an audit manager for Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers. Marvin Wayne Schenk of Ainsworth, Nebraska was born September 3, 1958 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. Marvin was united in marriage to Diane Buoy of Long Pine Nebraska. Their three children are Spencer James Schenk of Ainsworth, Nebraska born September 12, 1983 at Ainsworth, Morgan Danielle Schenk Glenn of Camp Taji, Iraq born January 24, 1987 in Ainsworth and Schyler Dean Schenk of Ainsworth born October 30, 1990 in Ainsworth. Spencer and Marvin operate a construction company, Morgan is currently serving her country in Iraq as a IED specialist and Schyler is a Junior at Ainsworth High School. Shirley Annette Schenk of Tucson, Arizona was born October 15, 1961 at Ainsworth, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Lonnie Schnakenberg of Deshler, Nebraska on December 31, 1981. Shirley and Lonnie reside in Tucson, Arizona. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Justus.
