Elizabeth (Herrmann) Vogt BIRTH May 24, 1867 in Gertenroth; Bavaria: Germany DEATH September 8, 1928 in Seward, Seward, Nebraska, USA WO: William Vogt (1865-1947) THE LIFE STORY OF MRS. WILLIAM VOGT Elizabeth Hermann was born May 24, 1867 in Gertenroth, Bavaria, Germany, and died September 8, 1928 at her home in Seward, of the after effects of influenza. She reached the age of 61 years, 3 months and 15 days. She was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Kronach Germany, and came to America in 1888, where she became a member of the Evangelical Frieden's church. She was a consistent Christian and a great helper in both Ladies' Aid societies. February 25, 1892 she united in marriage to W. Vogt of Seward, Nebr. This union was blessed with four sons and four daughters, one daughter and one son having died in infancy. She leaves to morn her death, her husband, three sons, George W. of Omaha, Wm. F. of Seward, Otto K. of Shenandoah, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Adolph Struening of Lincoln, Ill., Anna and Emma Vogt of Seward, and three grand-children, as well as many relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted September 11, 1928, at the Evangelical Frieden's church, Rev. A. Matzner of Lincoln officiating. Interment was made at Greenwood Cemetery.
