PAUL WILLIAM
Paul William, youngest son of George W. Vogt and his wife Lydia, nee Schlueter, was born March 27, 1924, R 2, Seward, Nebr. In baptism April 20 at St. John’s Lutheran church he was “sanctified and cleansed with the washing of water by the word” and made heir to eternal salvation.
Last Tuesday, April 6, he became ill suffering a severe attack of the influenza. Although medical aid was summoned at once and every care that tender love could give, it could not prolong the young life. Our “times are in the hands of the Lord and the days of our life are numbered with Him,” Sunday, April 11,1926, at 2 a. m. the Good Shepherd took His lamb for which He had given His own life and overcome death, into his arms and bore him home. Paul William is at home in his heavenly Father’s house where the final reunion will take place.
He passed away at the age of two years and 15 days, leaving to mourn his death, besides his parents and his brother, Gilbert, his grandparents from both sides, his great grandmother and many other relatives.
After a short service in the home interment took place from St. John’s Lutheran church in Greenwood cemetery Tuesday, April 13, 1926.
