Fred Schenk service held Frederick G. Schenk, 56, of Central City died Oct. 11, 1979 at work in Clay County near Clay Center. Services were held Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Solt Funeral Home in Central City. The Rev. Gilbert Larsen officiated. Burial was in the Central City Cemetery. Schenk was born January 24, 1923 at Johnstown, the son of George and Luella Wallenstein Schenk. He attended country school Dist. 84 North and graduated from the Johnstown High School. On July 1, 1945 he married Anola Kenyon at Ainsworth. In 1946 they moved to Central City where they resided until his passing. He worked for a fertilizer firm in Central City at the time of his death. Schenk was a member of the Central City Eagles Aerie. Survivors include his widow; his mother of Aurora; two sons, Fred Jr., and Eugene both of Central City; two daughters, Carol Schenk of Aurora and Sandra Schenk at home; a sister Mrs. Vivian Anderson of Central City; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Cousins in this area include Justus Schenk , Bertha Reinert of Johnstown; and Anna Prosser, Minnie Burchell and Edna Hitchcock, all of Ainsworth.
