Bruce A. Reyman, Sr.
Bruce Reyman was born on the home ranch 15 miles northwest of Wood Lake, Nebr. to Claude B. Reyman and Minnie (Goll) Reyman on April 20, 1895. He was united in marriage to Edith Hutchison on April 28, 1924. To this union two children were born: Claude L. Reyman of Lincoln and Bruce A. Reyman, Jr. of Wood Lake.
Bruce attended grade school in District 99 (Micheel School) northwest of Wood Lake. He spent his lifetime in the interests of producing and up-grading the Hereford cattle industry. Bruce was active in school affairs of District 50 (Arabia) School. His hobbies and special interests were his family, cattle ranching, saddle horses, garden raising and 4-H work. After his retirement, Bruce remained active and assisted his son Bruce Jr. with ranch activities. He resided in his home on the ranch with his family and passed away at the Cherry County Hospital Tuesday, December 24, 1974, at the age of 79 years, eight months, four days.
He leaves to mourn him his wife, Edith, three sisters, Josephine (Reyman) Eberhart of Bassett, Nebr.; Kathryn (Reyman) Stalnaker and Genevieve (Reyman) Fry of Chappell, Nebr.; his two sons, Bruce and Claude, five grandchildren, Gary, Gina, Lynda, Dana, and Cory and numerous friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Hazel (Reyman) Grosse of Crookston, Nebr.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 28, 1974 at 2:00 P.M. at Watts Funeral Home, Valentine, Nebr. with the Rev. Howard Dixon officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Wood Lake.
