Velma Bamesberger, age 86, of Aurora died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at her home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 30th at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. George E. Damm will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. OBITUARY: VELMA BAMESBERGER
Velma Arline Bamesberger, the daughter of Albert Carl and Alma Louise Emma (Klute) Kamtz, was born in Hampton, Nebraska, on December 3, 1917, and died in Aurora, Nebraska on June 26, 2004, at the age of 86.
She grew up in the rural Hampton area. Velma attended Zion Lutheran School and graduated from Hampton High School. After high school she did house work for others in the Hampton area.
Velma was united in marriage to Louis Otto Bamesberger on April 13, 1941, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Velma was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved gardening and enjoyed her flowers, and belonged to the Aurora Garden Club. She loved quilting for her children and grandchildren.
Velma was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Ladies Aid, the church choir and a member of several Bible study groups. She was also a Sunday school teacher for many years, and was a member of the Hamilton Manor Auxiliary for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Louis of Aurora; five children, Kathleen (Gwynuel) Johnson of Hampton, LaVerne (Gloria) Bamesberger of Marquette, Eugene (Petra) Bamesberger of Hampton, Dale "Red" (Karen) Bamesberger of Hampton and Dean (Susan) Bamesberger of Hampton; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
