Florence Bamesberger, age 87, of Hampton died Monday morning, May 22, 2000 at Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. George E. Damm will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
OBITUARY: FLORENCE BAMESBERGER
Florence Hedwig Bamesberger, the daughter of Henry and Emma (Otto) Stettner was born in Hamilton County near Polk, Nebraska on December 31, 1912, and died in Aurora, Nebraska, on May 22, 2000, at the age of 87 years, 4 months and 21 days.
She attended school at Zion’s North School. She then moved to York to do housekeeping for several different families.
Florence was united in marriage to Harold Bamesberger on November 22, 1942 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York, Nebraska. They farmed southeast of Hampton until 1960. They moved into Hampton where Florence worked for Hampton Parochial School for 7 years. She then worked at Jack’s Café until she retired in 1970.
She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. Florence belonged to several card clubs. She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Harold of Hampton; daughter, Barbara Porter and her husband James of Harvard; son, William Bamesberger and his wife Frances of Henderson; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
