Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 2, 1988 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.
OBITUARY: Carl “Hi” Bamesberger
Carl Gerhardt Bamesberger, the son of Henry and Marie (Wall) Bamesberger, was born at Burlington, Colorado, on November 8, 1897, and passed away at his farm home, south of Hampton, Nebraska, on April 29, 1988, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 21 days.
In 1901, the family moved to the farm home near Hampton, where he has lived the rest of his life.
On February 20, 1924, he was united in marriage to Alma Troester, near Hampton. They retired in 1956, and continued to reside on the farm.
“Hi”, as he was known to everyone, was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and served on the board that built the new church. He had also served as president of the congregation, and had served on the Hamilton County Weed District Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Robert, and 14 brothers and sisters; Marie Sando, Margaret McKenna, Christian Bamesberger, Louise Hughes, Christine Kirpatrick, Emily Bamesberger, Karharine Bamesberger, Henry Bamesberger, George Bamesberger, Jakob Bamesberger, Anna Troester, C.F. (Sam) Bamesberger, Wm. Bamesberger and Rose Mattfeldt.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Alma, one daughter, Marilyn Blessing of Hampton, and 4 grandchildren, Susan, Mark Blessing, Daniel and Sally Parks, and Allison Blessing, and many other relatives and friends.
