HUTCHISON, Lewis William

Lewis Hutchison Lewis William Hutchison, second son of Albert and Ella Hutchison, was born in Ida Grove, Ia., March 6, 1881, and departed this life October 30, 1955 at the age of 74 years, eight months and 23 days. As a child of seven years he moved to Cherry County where he lived for 60 years. The last 11 years had been spent in Portland, Ore., and California, returning to Nebraska in June of 1954. He was united in marriage to Bertha Evelyn Whetstone at Springview, Nebr., on February 10, 1903. To this union five children were born, Ralph of Omaha, Mrs. Edith Reyman of Wood Lake, Mrs. Ruth Stone of Chula Vista, Calif., Ervin Hutchison of Castro Valley, Calif., and Evelyn Hutchison of Burwell. He also leaves to mourn, four brothers, Bert of Valentine, Robert of California, and Clarence and Earl of Portland, Ore. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death, Minnie, Cora and Henry. He also leaves six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services are being held this (Thurs.) afternoon, 2:00 o’clock, in the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Irwin officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
