ARNOLD, John Russell

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 14, 1985 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery. OBITUARY: John R. Arnold John Russell Arnold, the son of Casper and Pearl (Martin) Arnold, was born at Fredericksburg, Indiana, on October 16, 1906, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 12, 1985, at the age of 78 years, 9 months, and 26 days. He came to Hamilton County in 1913 and attended country schools, graduating from Giltner High School. He continued to live in Hamilton County until 1941, when he moved to Iowa. He returned to Nebraska in 1952 and farmed south of Aurora. In 1962 he moved into Aurora and owned his own truck, hauling livestock and grain until retiring in 1982. John was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, and had been a member of the Hamilton County Livestock Feeders Association. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who survive to cherish his memory are 2 brothers, Bruce of Aurora and Kermit of Lewellen; 4 sisters, Marie Potter of Aurora, Mary Scott of El Cerrito, California, Wilma Otto of Phillips and Ruth Rogers of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
