Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, February 3, 1994 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Bruce Arnold Bruce T. Arnold, the son of Casper and Pearl (Martin) Arnold, was born at Fredricksburg, Indiana, on November 2, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 31, 1994, at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 29 days. In 1914, he moved with his family to Nebraska, and they lived in the Giltner and Phillips area, and he graduated from Giltner High School with the class of 1923. On March 18, 1934, he was united in marriage to Welma Emken, at Hampton, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1972. After their marriage they lived in the Giltner area until 1944, when they moved to a farm southwest of Aurora. Along with farming, he sold seed corn for many years, and also did custom work. In 1975, he moved into Aurora, and since 1983, has resided at the Bethesda Care Home in Aurora. Bruce was a member of the Prairie Gem Church, where he taught Sunday School, and after it burned down, transferred his membership to the Aurora United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son Larry, one sister, Marie Potter, and one brother, John. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Deryl and his wife Janis, of Aurora; one daughter Doris Halouska and her husband Art, of Columbus, Georgia; one brother Kermit of Lewellen; 3 sisters, Wilma Otto of Phillips, Mary Scott of Fresno, California, and Ruth Rogers of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
