HUTCHISON, Lee L.

Lee L. Hutchison Lee L. Hutchison, age 46, of Merriman, NE, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997 at the Cherry County Hospital, Valentine. He was born Sept. 5, 1950 to Eugene and Irene Halligan Hutchison in Sioux Falls. He grew up in Valentine and graduated from Valentine High School in 1968. As a young man he worked on many ranches in the Cherry County area. He also operated heavy equipment on construction jobs. Lee was baptized and confirmed in the Presbyterian Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing and has a special love of animals. He competed in rodeo. Lee had many friends and enjoyed them immensely. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene. Survivors include his mother, Irene of Chadron, NE; his daughter Marti of Brownlee, NE., fiancee Melody Simon of Merriman; two brothers Larry (Penny) of Torrington, WY and Mark of Chadron; two sisters, Kathy (Clayton) Brunt of Columbus, NE and Cheryl (George) White of Hay Springs, NE; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service was held at the Presbyterian Church in Valentine on Feb. 3 with Rev. Steve and Rev. Carolyn Breazier officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Valentine. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was in charge of arrangements.
