Dorothy Angerame, age 83, of Aurora, died Monday, May 8, 2006 at Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 11th at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Rev. OBITUARY: DOROTHY ANGERAME Dorothy Helen Angerame, the daughter of Warren and Florence Green, was born with a twin sister, Virginia, in Broad Channel Long Island, New York on April 2, 1923 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 8, 2006, at the age of 83. She grew up on Long Island, New York. Dorothy attended school through the 8th grade. She went on to become a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company for several years. Dorothy was united in marriage to Peter Thomas Angerame in June 1948 at St. Peter’s Cathedral in New York City. They raised four sons: Gary, Robert, Richard and Randy in Greenlawn, Long Island, New York. While raising the family Dorothy worked as a school cook and waitressed for her husband who was in the restaurant business. After the family was raised, Dorothy did factory work before they retired to Ocala, Florida. Peter passed away in February 1999. Dorothy then moved to Ft. Lauderdale to be near her son, Randy. In July of 2002, Dorothy moved to Aurora to be closer to her son, Gary. Dorothy enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo. She also liked swimming everyday when in Florida and later on doing craft projects. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Those left to cherish her memory are her four sons, Gary and Christine Angerame of Aurora, Robert Angerame of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Richard Angerame of New York, NY and Randy Angerame of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a twin sister, Virginia Gunstone of Orlando, FL and sister, Harriet Boam and several nieces and nephews.
