Harold Andreasen, age 85, of Bradshaw, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, after battling congestive heart failure, at Bryan/LGH East Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, May 12th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Rev. Pam Ciulla will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.
OBITUARY: HAROLD ANDREASEN
Harold Eugene Andreasen, the son of Einar and Violet (Wrasse) Andreasen, was born in Berwyn, Nebraska on March 11, 1922 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on May 9, 2007, at the age of 85.
He grew up and graduated from Marquette High School in 1939. Harold served in the Air Force during WWII from the Fall of 1942 until he was honorably discharged in February 1946. Harold returned from the service to farm in Montana.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Gobbs in 1948. Three children were born to this union: Leon, Randall and Leah.
Harold moved back to the Hordville in 1970, where he was involved in working with custom haying equipment.
Harold was united in marriage to Beth (Bowlby) Nielsen on September 3, 1974. They moved to Bradshaw in 1979. Harold raised livestock, but took a liking to the pigs best of all.
Harold was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he served on the Church Council for three terms. He loved raising his garden and in the last few years enjoyed his water aerobics classes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son in infancy, Leon Andreasen and a step grandson, Joe Lamprecht.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Beth Andreasen of Bradshaw; two children, Randall (Penny) Andreasen of Round Up, Montana and Leah (Dick) White of Brenham, Texas; three step-children, Roger (Rosanna) Schreiner of Seward, Christine Lamprecht of Saratoga, Wyoming and Jeff (Marti) Nielsen of Aurora; granddaughter, Jasmine Andreasen of Tyler, Texas; 15 step-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren and a brother Bernard (Agnes) Andreasen of Grand Island.
