RIEF, William J. “Bill”

William J. “Bill” Rief, 79, of Fullerton, formerly of Grand Island died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Beverly Healthcare at Fullerton, Nebraska. Graveside committal services will be on Monday, April 3, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at the Grand Island City Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Fett will officiate. The body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Rief was born on December 28, 1926, in Grand Island to William and Dora (Ritter) Rief. Survivors of the immediate family include two sisters, Catherine Miller of Wood River and Evelyn Whitaker of Lufkin, Texas; and one brother, David Rief of Grand Island. Mr. Rief received his education at District #4. He then farmed with his father on the family farm. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy Holmstedt; and one brother, Wilbur Rief.
