Lillian L. Miller, 83, of Grand Island died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare at Park Place. Services will be Tuesday at 10 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church. The Rev. Francis T. Curran will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 P.M. with a 7 P.M. rosary at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born October 14, 1922, at Comstock, NE to Joseph F. and Albina E. (Parkos) Lukesh. Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mary Miller of Grand Island; a daughter, Patricia Reilly of St. Paul; and one brother, Bernard Lukesh of Portland, OR. Additional survivors include six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Lillian received her education at Ord Public Schools and later graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1940. She married Anthony D. Miller on October 19, 1946, at Portland, OR. In the spring of 1950, the couple returned to Grand Island where she worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell until 1951. Lillian then worked for Willman’s Grocery from 1951 to 1958 and then as a sales clerk and district catalog manager for Sears from 1959 until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Altar Society. She was also actively involved with Sears Retirees. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971; and two brothers, Richard and Emmanuel Lukesh.
