HALL, Evelyn D.

Evelyn D. Hall, 86, of Grand Island died Monday, March 13, 2006 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Pastor Curt Holzworth will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hall was born on March 28, 1919 in Pierce County, Nebraska to John & Hattie (Hartman) Sexton. Survivors of the immediate family include four daughters and sons-in-law, Laura Thompson of Hartington, Nebraska, Joan & Fred Hinrichs of Omaha, Gayle & Phillip Hinrichs of Cairo, and Linda & Jerry Nuss of Grand Island; three sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy & Leann Hall of Grand Island, James & Robbie Hall of Omaha, and the Rev. Lynn & Nila Hall of Lorton, Virginia; one sister, Dorothy Brokaw of Arlington, Nebraska. Additional survivors include 25 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hall received her education in Pierce, Nebraska and graduated from Pierce High School in 1938. She married Elwin Hall on February 19, 1943 in Norfolk. The couple lived in Pierce for a short time before moving to Norfolk. The couple moved to Grand Island in 1963. Mrs. Hall was employed in child care at Meves Bowl in Grand Island for 20 years. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting Angels, and loved flowers and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1986, her son-in-law, Byron Thompson; one brother Earl Sexton; and one sister, Verna Jones.
