Marilyn J. Bockmann, 60, of Grand Island died Saturday January 28, 2006, at her home.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jack Eske will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 4 to 6 P.M.
Marilyn was born February 6, 1945, at Shelton to Myrl and Marcella (Richards) Hadenfeldt.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Dale Bockmann of Grand Island; one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Jim Allen of Waukee, IA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Shanie Bockmann and Steve and Jolene Bockmann all of Grand Island; one sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Glen Schanou of Omaha; two brothers Mark and Todd Hadenfeldt both of Kearney and her father, Myrl (Bob) Hadenfeldt of Shelton.
Additional survivors include six grandchildren, Reid and Ryan Allen; Logan and Hadley Bockmann; and Emma and Easton Bockmann.
Marilyn grew up and attended school in Shelton. She also attended Kearney State College. She married Dale Bockmann on June 26, 1966, in Shelton. The couple made their home and raised their children south of Grand Island.
She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, canning fresh vegetables, knitting, bowling, making homemade scratchers and baked the best homemade rolls. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grand children.
Marilyn enjoyed helping others. She particularly loved assisting with computers, knitting, and cooking.
She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church and the Knitwits knitting club.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcella Hadenfeldt.
