FRAUEN, Paul F.

Paul F. Frauen, 97, of Grand Island died Wednesday January 4, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Wood River. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Del Roper will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Frauen was born February 11, 1908, at Grand Island to Henry and Lydia (Spathalt) Frauen. Survivors of the immediate family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Jan Frauen of Grand Island and Paul and Johanna Frauen of Charleston, NC; and one sister, Irene Lindsay of Denver, CO. Additional survivors include nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Paul grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1926. He married Dorothy E. Moeder in 1927. They made their home in Grand Island. Mr. Frauen was a Phillips 66 distributor and operated Frauen Oil for many years. He served on the Hall County Board of Supervisors for 6 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mr. Frauen was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy on April 22, 2000.
