HENDERSON, Minnie Ellen

Minnie Ellen Henderson Minnie Ellen Grosse, daughter of John and Hazel Grosse, was born March 22, 1921 at Valentine, Nebr. and moved with her parents to Crookston in 1924. Here Ellen attended grade school, graduated from high school and later furthered her education at the State Teachers College, Chadron. She taught five highly successful terms of school. She was baptised in the Methodist church and had continued to attend that church. Ellen was married August 23, 1945 to Clarence A. Henderson. She passed quietly from this life March 13, 1948 at the home of her parents. Ellen always had a happy, cheerful disposition, was a loving daughter, a devoted mother and a true friend. These sterling qualities have endeared her to the entire community who mourn with the family at her untimely passing. Survivors include her two daughters, Marilyn Rose and Linda Marie, her parents, John and Hazel Grosse and a brother, Harold. A brother, Robert, preceded her in death in 1946. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Crookston, Nebr. March 17 at 2 p.m. and interment was made in Mount Hope Cemetery, Valentine, Nebr.
