Leona C. Schuller, 97, of Central City died Wednesday November 30, 2005, at Litzenberg Long Term Care in Central City.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Randy Fett will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday with family greeting friends from 4 to 7 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Mrs. Schuller was born February 23, 1908, at Phillips, NE to Henry and Anna (Scheel) Schimmer.
Survivors of the immediate family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Margaret Schuller of Central City and Gary and Faye Schuller of Hastings; and two daughters, Dorene Grosenick of Watertown, WI and Delores Grudzinski of Juneau, WI.
Additional survivors include 15 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Leona grew up on a farm near Phillips and attended rural school. She graduated from Phillips High School.
She married Albert Schuller on August 9, 1933, at Grand Island. They lived on a farm near Grand Island.
In 1963 they moved into Grand Island and Leona worked at the Conoco Courts. In 1990 she moved into the Bader Apartments in Central City then entered Litzenberg Long Term Care in 2000.
She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church and the Platt Duetsch Society.
She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; two brothers, Emil and Elmer Schimmer; one sister, Hilda Stueven; two sons-in-law, Leroy Grosenick and Edwin Grudzinski.
