Glenn E. Kitten, 46, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the Bryan-L.G.H. East in Lincoln.
Memorial services will be on Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island. Pastor Dennis Waddelow will officiate.
Burial will be at the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Mr. Kitten will be cremated.
The family will greet friends on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Kitten was born on March 25, 1959 in Superior, Nebraska to Vernon and Glenna (McNichols) Kitten.
Survivors of the immediate family include his mother Glenna of Grand Island; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda & Randy Smith of Hastings, and Lori & Brian Henn of Phillips; one brother and sister-in-law, Brian & Anne Kitten of Lincoln.
Additional survivors include 5 nieces and 3 nephews.
Mr. Kitten was raised in Superior and Hastings, and graduated from Hastings High School in 1977.
He then served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mr. Kitten owned and operated the Alibi Lounge in Grand Island. He then was employed at various restaurants and lounges in the Lincoln area.
While in Lincoln, Mr. Kitten managed the People’s City Mission Kitchen, and was active as a mentor at the mission.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1986; an infant sister, Mary; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
