BLAISE, Nettie O.

Nettie O. Blaise, 85, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare at Parkplace. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Blaise was born on March 31, 1920 at St. Libory, Nebraska to Will and Minnie (Stender) Luebbe. Survivors include one son, Robert Blaise of Grand Island; her caregiver and special friend, Joni Reynoldson of Grand Island; two sisters, Alice Olson and Louise Hennings both of Grand Island; two brothers, Lester Luebbe of Omaha, and Marvin Luebbe of Hobbs, New Mexico. Nettie received her education at District #49 in Howard County. She then attended Grand Island Beauty College. She married Julian Blaise on January 24, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. Mrs. Blaise was employed as a beautician, and also worked in food service at the Lutheran Hospital. She was an excellent homemaker, and she especially enjoyed fishing. Nettie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; three sisters, Florence Meinke, Norma Luebbe, and Melinda Luebbe; and two brothers, Harry Luebbe and Ralph Luebbe.
