DOBBERSTEIN, Emma M.

Emma M. Dobberstein, 90, of Grand Island, died Friday, September 2, 2005 at the Wedgewood Care Center. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Robert Harms and the Rev. Royce Hinehart will officiate. Burial will be at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Emma was born on January 11, 1915 at Ord, Nebraska to John and Emelia (Bremer) Dobberstein. Survivors include two nieces and their husbands, Joyce & David Sullivan of Elgin, Nebraska, and Jean & Mike Roiland of Des Moines, Iowa. Emma received her education at Ord, and attended Mira Valley High School which was located outside of Ord. Following her education she was employed at the Glove and Box factory in Grand Island. She was then employed by the Nash Finch Company for over 26 years. Following her retirement, she did volunteer work at the Lutheran Hospital. Emma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Eda Dobberstein, and Helen Johnson.
