Brockhaus Funeral Home - July 22, 2012 Funeral services for Clifford A. Blake, age 96 of Tilden, Nebraska, will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden. Pastor Bonnie Linton-Hendrick will officiate with burial at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. He died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Neligh, Nebraska. Clifford Allen Blake, son of Joseph A. and Maggie (Simpson) Blake was born September 6, 1915 at Mystic, Iowa. Clifford attended school in Mystic, Iowa and Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1935 he married Georgia Eyer, to this union one daughter, Janet was born. Clifford lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, before moving to Washington state. On November 4, 1994, Clifford married Mildred B. (Lewis) Werner at the United Methodist Church in Meadow Grove, Nebraska. They made their home in Tilden, Nebraska before entering the Golden Living Center in Neligh, Nebraska. He was a member of Meadow Grove-Tilden Lions Club and was a life long member of the Masonic Lodge. Clifford enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Werner-Blake and her two sons Dick Werner of Schuyler, Nebraska and Gary Werner of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Janet Rice of Ulysses, Nebraska; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Viola Rogers of Oregon; one brother in-law, Leonard Van Lieu of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
