John L. Woldruff, 62, of Alda, Nebraska died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 31st at 10:30 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. The family will be present for the visitation which will be on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Mr. Woldruff’s body will be cremated at Westlawn Memorial Park Crematory. Burial will take place at a later date at the Grand Island City Cemetery. Mr. Woldruff was born on January 23, 1943 in Clarinda, Iowa to Kenneth & Viola (Miller) Woldruff. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife Linda of Alda. Additional survivors include his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cleo & Romona Beberniss of Grand Island, a special cousin; Merrit Spunagle of Clarinda, Iowa; and his Aunt and Uncle Martha & Wayne Supernaw of Holiday Isle, Arkansas. Mr. Woldruff received his education in Griswold, Iowa. Following his education he was employed at Standard Blueprint in Omaha. After living in California for a brief time, Mr. Woldruff moved to Grand Island in 1973. He married Linda Jaixen on April 14, 1985 in Grand Island. Mr. Woldruff was employed as a salesman for Nebraska Tractor. Because of ill health, he retired in 1996. Mr. Woldruff loved to golf and watch drag racing on T.V.
