James H. Woods, 65, of Grand Island died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Wedgewood Care Center in Grand Island. At the family’s request, cremation has taken place at Westlawn Memorial Park Crematory in Grand Island. Private family services will take place at a later date in Ainsworth, NE. Mr. Woods was born August 1, 1939, at Ainsworth to Harold and Helen (Mack) Woods. Immediate survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Terri Puente of Omaha and Tina and Alan Miller of St. Paul, NE; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Woods of Lincoln and Darren and Debbera Woods of San Antonio, TX; and one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Bob Davis of Stockton, CA. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jessica Puente both of Omaha, Jade Summers of St. Paul, NE and Jordan Summers of Galesburg, IL; two great-grandchildren; and his friend and ex-wife, JoAnn South of Miles City, MT.
