Agnes Marie Edberg, 89, of Grand Island, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare at Park Place.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Sheri Lodel will officiate.
Burial will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edberg was born on September 3, 1915 in McCool Junction, Nebraska to Harry and Catherine (Wabrecht) Cudaback.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband, Carl, of Grand Island; two daughters and one son-in-law, Catherine & Robert Anderson of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Ann Marie Simon of Wichita, Kansas; two sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy & (Betty) Gabler of Corona, Arizona, and Dayle & (Phyllis) Gabler of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Additional survivors include 16 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Everett & June Cudaback of Mesa, Arizona; a sister-in-law, June Robinson of Fullerton, Nebraska, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mrs. Edberg attended school in McCool Junction and graduated from McCool Junction High School in 1933.
She married William A Gabler in September 1933. Mr. Gabler died in February 1954.
After her husband’s death, Agnes was employed as a Nurses aide at the St. Francis Hospital.
She married Carl E. Edberg in January 1961.
Agnes was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She was quite versatile in her activities. She loved fishing (the big ones never got away), bowling, big band music for dancing (even in her wheelchair), horseracing, traveling, plus sewing and crafts. But most of all, she enjoyed her kids and grandkids.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold and Ralph Cudaback, and one sister-in-law, Velma Cudaback
