FRAHM, Danny Lee


Danny Lee Frahm, 71 years of age from Minden, NE died on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Danny was born on August 25, 1941 in Superior, NE to Everett and Blanche (Solomon) Frahm. The family lived in Mankato, KS and moved to Holdrege, NE in 1954. Danny graduated from Holdrege High School in 1959. He served in the National Guard and then served in the U.S. Navy. On October 16, 1964 he married Glenva Foster at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Holdrege, NE. They moved to Minden and Danny was employed at Evert's Mobil for many years. Truck driving was always Danny's passion; he drove for Minden CO-OP and then spent 17 years driving for Hastings Irrigation Pipe Company. Due to health reasons he retired in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Gleni of Minden; daughter, Shelly Gibbins and her husband, Ryan of Minden; son J.D. Frahm and his wife, Tjjohn of Kearney; three grandsons, Cole, Logan and Garrett; three sisters, Elaine Peck and her husband, Eldon of Lexington, Charlotte Barron and her husband, John of Lexington and Janet Wagner and her husband, Jim of Holdrege; two brothers, Everett Frahm and his wife, Joan of Parkville, MO and Jerry Frahm and his wife, Connee of Lincoln; sister in-law Joan Rightmier Talke of Virginia Beach, VA and many sisters in-law and brothers in-law on Gleni's side of the family who were all very special to him and many nieces and nephews and friends. Memorial services will be on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Davis officiating. Burial will be prior to the memorial service at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege, NE. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden from 3-6 p.m. on Wednesday.
