Sara Jeanne Casper, 90, from Hildreth, NE passed away on August 3, 2012, in Minden, NE. Jeanne was born on February 10, 1922 in Hildreth to Dr. Harold and Genevieve (Davenport) Neville. She grew up in Hildreth and graduated from Hildreth High School in 1939. Jeanne attended Kearney State College and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, worked at the FHSA offices in Alma and in Blair, and assisted her father in his dental office in Hildreth for 25 years. On May 21, 1965 Jeanne married Erwin D. Casper (who passed away in 2004), during which time they lived and farmed northeast of Hildreth and were active in the Hildreth community. Jeanne was a member of Eastern Star and the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hildreth. Survivors include her sister, JoAnn Sexson of Sun City West, AZ and eight nieces and nephews: Shelley Shonkwiler and her husband Dave of Phoenix, AZ, Karen Duffy and her husband Steve of Phoenix, AZ, Kerry Sexson of Phoenix, AZ, Gene Casper and his wife Dona of Hildreth, Merv Casper of Hildreth, Aldean Casper and his wife Wynona of Tucson, AZ, Arlene Loschen and her husband Gerry of Kearney and Janice Wass and her husband Ned of Vonore, TN. Jeanne's nieces, nephews and their families adored her, will forever appreciate her generosity, and have a wealth of vivid memories of their beloved Aunt Jeanne who touched and enriched their lives. Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hildreth, on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. with Revs. Steve and Patti Byrnes officiating. Burial of her ashes will be at the Hildreth Cemetery. Jelden-Craig Funeral Home in Hildreth is in charge of arrangements.
