WELLS, Rosella

Rosella Wells, 86 years of age from Doniphan, NE, formerly of Kearney died on Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Rosella was born on September 6, 1925 in Benkelman, NE to Roscoe and Hazel (DeHart) Durbin. She grew up in Litchfield, NE and attended school there. She married Frans Anderson and later married Ivan Wells. She lived in the Gibbon and Kearney area and worked in various places until her retirement. She enjoyed dancing. Survivors include daughter, Roberta Douglas and her husband, Ken of Grand Island; four grandchildren, Richard Douglas and his wife, Brandy of Ravenna; their children, Breanna, Shavanna and Hunter; ShawnTae Douglas Baldwin and her husband, Dusty of Grand Island and their children, Logan, Tanner, Jasmine and Mariah; Trisha Ruhl and her husband, Troy of Grand Island and their children, Kiley, Nathaniel, Allie and Caden and Becka Douglas of St. Paul and her children, Mackenzie and Kolby. She is preceded in death by three brothers. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heartwell Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden on Tuesday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m.
