LARSEN, Ethel M.

Ethel M. Larsen, 93 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died on Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Kearney County Health Services-Hospital in Minden. Ethel was born on July 31, 1918 near Hildreth, Nebraska to Eilert and Elizabeth (Sanders) Dorn. She grew up in the Hildreth area and graduated from District #21 in Hildreth. On September 4, 1955 she married Ivan Larsen in Minden, Nebraska. They made their home in Minden. Ethel worked at Paulsen Nursery for 21 years. She later cared for Ivan after his accident in 1970. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden; she enjoyed working in her yard and garden, playing cards and visiting with friends and family. Survivors include her sister, Edna Williams of Minden; sister in-law, Jenene Dorn of Minden and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband in 2004 and two brothers, Norvin and Alvin. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethany Home Chapel in Minden with Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the Bethany Home Chapel. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of arrangements.
