Thomas Muir Gould, 60, passed away at Kearney County Hospital in Minden, NE on Thursday November 10, 2011. Tom was born July 20, 1951 to LeRoy and Shirley (Harwood) Muir in Souix City, Iowa. Tom graduated from Buhler High School in 1969 where he is known as a hall of famer and made many lifelong friendships. Tom attended Hastings College and Kearney State College where he earned a degree in Business. Tom was the pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Kenesaw, Nebraska for over 20 years and also a dispatcher at the "Cop Shop" at Kearney County Sheriff's Department since 1990. Tom was a man very strong in his faith and he touched so many lives. He will be greatly missed. He's most proud of his three daughters and six grandsons known as "Tom's Trotters". He is survived by his three daughters Carmie Glanzer and her husband, Justin of Minden, Carissa Jones and her husband, Lance of Phoenix, Arizona, Camille Collins and her husband, Nick of Kearney, Nebraska and "Tom's Trotters", Brooks and Bronson Glanzer, Ike, Angus and Getty Jones, and Lucas Collins; brother, Jim Muir and sister, Carol Ewing both of Hutchinson, Kansas, sister, Janette Singer and her husband, Rod of Jones, Oklahoma, brother, Randy Gould and his wife, Julie of Beatrice, NE, sister, Chris Gould of Anchorage, Alaska and sister, Sherry Serkes and sister in law Terrie Gould of Minden. Tom is proceeded in death by his fathers LeRoy Muir and M.O. Gould, mother Shirley Gould, brother Steve Gould, brother in law Tom Yearout and sister in law Cindy Muir. Memorials are suggested to the family at this time. Celebration of his life will be on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with CLP Beth Fotinos and Sherry Serkes officiating. There will be no visitation. Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of arrangements.
