OSTERBUHR, Janet M.

Janet M. Osterbuhr, 68 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died on Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home in Minden. Janet was born on August 20, 1943 in Kearney, Nebraska to William and Valeria (Munson) Gant. She grew up in Kearney and graduated from Kearney High School. On October 14, 1961 she married Dwaine Osterbuhr and they made their home in Minden. She worked for Grayson and later owned and operated M&D Ceramics in Minden. She enjoyed ceramics both as a hobby and as a business. Janet also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and using her computer. Most of all she loved being around her family. Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Flesner and her husband, Marshall of Minden; son Steve Osterbuhr and his wife, Chris of Minden; five grandchildren, Amber Nelson and her husband, Paul, Tyson Flesner and his wife, Karen, Justin Osterbuhr, Jessica Osterbuhr and Joshua Osterbuhr; two great grandchildren, Noah and Lucas Flesner; her mother, Valeria Gant of Kearney; four brothers, Joe Gant of Kearney, Butch Gant of Kearney, Dale Gant of Maxwell, NE and Rick Gant of Mineola, TX; three sisters, Mildred Newbold of Broomfield, CO, Katherine Cross of Kearney and Cindy Durr of Minden. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwaine who died in March of 2010, her father and brother, William. Graveside services will be on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Minden Cemetery with Rev. Donald Hunzeker officiating. There will be no visitation. Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of arrangements.
