HENRY C. LAMBRECHT
From Wood Lake Items
Henry C. Lambrecht passed away very suddenly, Friday, June 20th at Lead, S.D. of a heart attack. He was at work in the gold mine at the time God saw fit to call him.
Son of Henry and Maria Lambrecht, he was born May 16th, 1902 at Wood Lake, Nebraska and was six years of age when his father passed away. He received his education in the Wood Lake public school. When 7 years of age he became a member of the Lutheran Church. On November 24, 1928 he was united in marriage to Catherine O’Neil of Irwin, Nebraska, the marriage being solemnized at Winner, S.D., by Rev. Nels Faneburst. To this union were born two sons, Leroy 14, and Marvin 5.
Henry, as he was known by everyone, spent his early life in and around Wood Lake. He was employed by the C&NWRR in 1922 where he worked until entering the Home Stake Mine in 1929 where he had been employed until the time of his death.
He was a very thoughtful husband, father and son. His family was his whole thought, and he was ever ready to help in time of need.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and sons, relatives and friends. His family depended so very much on his guiding hand and were always with him whenever possible and his efforts made them happy.
Short services were held by Rev. Nels Faneburst at the Rounsevell Funeral Home at Lead, S.D. Monday June 23rd where many of his friends and fellowmen gathered to pay their last respects to one so highly esteemed.
