ROSSELL, Frances “Mickey”

Frances “Mickey” Rossell, 91 years of age from Kenesaw, Nebraska died on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Haven Home in Kenesaw. Mickey was born on May 5, 1920 in Sheepshead Bay, New York to Forest and Frances (Bremer) Conklin. She moved to California at a young age. Mickey married Don Reaber and they later divorced. She moved to Arizona and owned and operated Mickey's Restaurant for 12 years. In 1999 she married Woody Rossell and they lived near Phoenix. They moved to Hastings and later to Kenesaw. Mickey enjoyed cooking, fancy work and was a collector of clowns. A memorial has been established in her name. Survivors include her husband, Woody of Kenesaw; two sons, Steve Reaber and Mike Reaber of California; step daughter, Sandy Kuehn and her husband, Eddie of Heartwell; step daughter in-law, Sue Rossell of Gothenburg; six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren and 13 step great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and stepson, Gordon Rossell. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 13, 2011 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden is in charge of arrangements.
