Trudi
Trudi Binder, 42 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died on Saturday, April 23, 2011 as a result of a traffic accident southeast of Minden. Trudi was born on February 1, 1969 in Bremerton, Washington. She was adopted by Dick and Sharon Binder. Trudi moved to Nebraska and attended schools in Omaha, Waverly and Lincoln. Trudi graduated from the College of Hair Design in Lincoln. She moved to Minden in 1987 and worked at the Adam's Barber Shop. Trudi purchased the shop in 1988, and changed the name to Binder's Barber Shop. Trudi was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden. She loved kids and loved being around people. There was a young group of boys that she watched grow into men, and she still maintained a close relationship with them. Trudi never met a stranger and befriended everyone. Memorials are suggested to the family. Survivors include one son, Josh Binder and his fiancée, Jessa Nielsen of Minden; two daughters, Cori Binder and Camala Binder of Minden; grandson, Jace Binder; father Dick Binder of Minden; two sisters, Julie Michal and her husband, Jon of Lincoln and Amy Schroeder and her husband, Justin of Lincoln; brother, Matt Binder and his wife, Dorothy of Lincoln, her biological mother, Pam Vess and her husband, Ron of Arizona; biological grandmother, Betty Moody of Washington; brother Travis Vess and his wife, Danell from Fort Polk, Louisiana and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Binder. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald Becker officiating. Burial will be in Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
