Clayton Foster Former County Resident Died Funeral services for Clayton Foster were held Saturday, Aug. 25 in the chapel at the Jessen-Wisda Funeral Home with the Rev. Gordon Jensen officiating. Burial was in the Ainsworth cemetery. Mrs. Velma Rose sang “In the Garden” and “Beyond the Sunset” accompanied by Mrs. Jeanette Copes at the organ. Guy Clayton Foster was born Sept. 3, 1899, at Meadville, Nebr., to Zack and Gertrude Foster and departed this life Aug. 23 at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 20 days. He had lived most of his life around Ainsworth with the exception of the past 4 ½ years had made his home at Grove, Okla. He had been in failing health for a number of years and on Aug. 20 was taken to a hospital in Tulsa, Okla., where he passed away. He was united in marriage to Ruth Millard on Dec. 9, 1916 at Bassett. To this union five children were born. One son, Kenneth of Scottsbluff; and four daughters, Mrs. Ray (Grazia) Keim of Ainsworth; Mrs. Justus (Helen) Schenk of Johnstown; Mrs. Clyde (Phyllis) Poston of Panhandle, Texas; and Mrs. Ed (Paulina) Kaczmarek of Omaha. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Glen, and a sister, Gladys Lewis. Survivors include his wife; five children; 18 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Leon Foster of Litchfield, Nebr., and sister, Mrs. Clifford (Alta) Osborne of New York City; and several nieces and nephews. He was a kind and devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
