GLENN, Euarda L.

Euarda L. Glenn, 85 years of age from Minden, Nebraska died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Phelps Memorial Hospital in Holdrege. Euarda was born on November 2, 1925 in Upland, Nebraska to Henry and Clara (Johnson) Hansen. She grew up in that area and then graduated from Minden High School. On February 23, 1944 she married Merion Glenn. They lived in Minden. Euarda was a member of the First Christian Church in Minden and was active in the women's groups in the church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and especially her grandsons. Memorials are suggested to Bethany Home in Minden. Survivors include one son, Jim Glenn and his wife, Dorothy of Ogallala; two grandsons, Jason Glenn of Ogallala and Jeremy Glenn of Charlotte, NC and her special friend, Carol Christensen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Merion, infant daughter, Carol, sister, Doris and two brothers, Chester and Stanley. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Minden with Rev. Richard Bacon officiating. Burial will be in the Minden Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden on Monday from 7-8 p.m. with the family present.
