ZLOMKE, Margaret M.

Margaret M. Zlomke, 76, of Grand Island died Monday March 28, 2005, at Wedgwood Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Rev. Phil Flott will officiate. Entombment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday with a 6:00 P.M. Catholic Daughters and parish rosary at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mrs. Zlomke was born February 8, 1929, at Atchison, Kansas to Christopher and Mary C. (McKenny) Mesin. She is survived by one brother-in-law, Clarence Zlomke of Grand Island Margaret grew up and received her education in Atchison, KS. She married Dick H. Zlomke on December 18, 1972, at Grand Island. Margaret helped part-time in her husband’s dry cleaning business, Sink & Baer Cleaners. She sewed, making wedding and bridesmaid dresses. She was a devoted volunteer for any drive or activity at St. Mary’s Cathedral and at Central Catholic High School. Margaret also loved to cook. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish, St. Mary’s Altar Society the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, an active member of the Diocesean Council of Catholic Women, and she assisted with many funeral dinners at St. Mary's Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick in 1986.
