Joyce E. Moslander, 75, of Grand Island died Monday, February 28, 2005 at the St. Francis Medical Center.
There will be a rosary recited at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 21st at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home led by Father Francis Curran.
Burial will follow at the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Mrs. Moslander was born on July 25, 1929 in Clarks, Nebraska to Vernon and Henrietta (Noble) Bruning.
Survivors of the immediate family include one daughter, Pamela Moslander of Grand Island; and one son, Kelly Moslander of Florence, Colorado.
Additional survivors include two grandchildren.
Joyce moved to Grand Island in 1939. She received her education at Walnut Jr. High, and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1947.
She married James A. Moslander Jr. on April 22, 1950 in Grand Island.
She was employed by Dr. John Easley. She then worked at Kaufman’s Department Store.
Joyce was later employed at the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce, the Grand Island Light & Water Department, and for 21 years she was librarian at the Grand Island Public Library. She retired in 1999.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Joyce enjoyed reading and spending time with her dog Bridgett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her step-father Duree ‘Mac’ McNeely.
