ANDERSON, Lois L.

Lois L. Anderson, 87, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, January 4, 2004 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Mrs. Anderson’s body was cremated, and there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at a later date at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lois was born on June 19, 1917 to James & Gertrude (Tacket) McLellan, Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sherry Anderson of Omaha. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson received her education in Grand Island. She was employed for many years in the office at Island Supply. She then was employed as a sales clerk for Miller & Paine and then Dillards. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with the Business and Professional Women. Lois was an avid reader, and enjoyed reading about the history of Nebraska. She also collected hundreds of recipes, and loved growing house plants. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Arthur, who died on Christmas Day 2004, and Dennis who died in 2001; one grandson, Patrick Anderson; and one brother, Hurst McLellan.
