Jeanette A. Danner (Herald), 67, of Grand Island, died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Skilled Care Unit of the St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Monday at 10:30 A.M. at the Chapman Baptist Church. Pastor Pat Moore will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Jeanette was born on November 30, 1937 in Grand Island to Lawrence & Elsie (Albers) Danner. She was adopted by Henry and Elsie Markworth as a young girl. Survivors of the immediate family include one son and daughter-in-law, Bryan & Tami Herald of Chapman; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert & Charlotte Markworth of Pueblo, Colorado; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Joy Danner of Grand Island, Carol and Richard Hatcher of Grand Island, and Joanne & Dennis Lynch of Chapman. Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Cassie, Crystal, and Cody; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Jeanette was raised in Chapman and received her education there. She married Elmer Herald on April 5, 1960 in Lincoln. Jeanette was employed at Russell Stover’s in Lincoln, and then worked at the Lincoln Hilton. After moving to Grand Island, she was employed at the Conoco Motel from 1990 until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to garage sales, listening to country music, and working with crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Elsie Markworth; three brothers, James, Melvin, and Kenneth Markworth; and two sisters, Gloria Jean Markworth, and Betty Maquif.
