HATTON, Thomas P.


Thomas P. Hatton, 51, of Grand Island, died Monday evening, November 15, 2004 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Memorial Services will be held Friday, November 19, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. in the Chapel of the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with Rev. George Wheat officiating. There will be no visitation. Mr. Hatton’s body was cremated at Westlawn Memorial Park and Crematory. Interment of the cremated remains will be at Westlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Hatton was born November 20, 1952 in Grand Island the son of Robert and Mary Josephine (Rose) Hatton. He grew up in Grand Island and received his education here. After schooling he worked in oil fields in western United States, later moving to Lincoln where he worked in the power plants of University of Nebraska and Nebraska State Penitentiary. He served for a time in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1978. He is survived by a daughter Abigail of Grand Island. He is also survived by his mother, Mary (Mrs. Robert) Denman of Alda, two sisters, Marcia (Mrs. Ron) Grabowski and Rosemary Hatton both of Grand Island, and three brothers, Steve Hatton of North Platte, David Hatton of San Diego, and Robert Hatton and his wife Bea of Volcano, Hawaii. Also left to cherish his memory are nieces and nephews, Anne Helzer, Jessica Hatton, Bryan Tankesley, Sadia Immel and Ivan Immel. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Heather and his father.
