BENNETT, Roger L.

Roger L. Bennett, 74, of Grand Island, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Private graveside services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Litchfield, Nebraska Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 13, 2004 from 6-8 P.M. at the Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home in Grand Island with the family present to greet friends. Roger was born March 9, 1930 at Litchfield, Nebraska the son of Lee and Florence (Farnsworth) Bennett. He was united in marriage to Roberta Dietz on October 8, 1950. They had three children; Pamela, David and Michael. He retired from Rainbow Bread Company after 30 years of service. Survivors include his wife Roberta, a daughter and son-in-law Pamela and George Smith and granddaughter Amber Smith all of Grand Island. Three brothers and sisters-in-law; Harold and Pat Bennett of McCook, Dean and Chris Bennett of Pottsboro, Texas and Paul and Bonnie Bennett of Ansley, Nebraska, and an aunt Viola Currey of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, infant son David and Son Michael in 1990.
