LOPEZ-GONZALEZ, Abner Solomon

Abner S. Lopez-Gonzalez, 20, of Grand Island, died Saturday, September 4, 2004 in Grand Island as a result of an accidental drowning. Services will be on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. and from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon, and on Sunday from 1:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. After the service on Sunday, the body will be sent back to Guatemala for burial. Mr. Lopez-Gonzalez was born on April 12, 1984 in San Francisco La Union Quezaltenango, Guatemala to Margarito Lopez Chavez and Filomena A. Gonzalez-Xec. Survivors of the immediate family include his fiancé, Gloria De Leôn of Grand Island, his son, Javier Leovardo Lopez-De Leôn of Grand Island; his father, Margarito, of Lexington; three sisters, Lilian Lopez-Gonzales of Grand Island, Estela Lopez Gonzales of Guatemala, and Adelma Lopez-Gonzalez of Lexington; two brothers, Edmer Lopez-Gonzalez of Guatemala, and Moises Lopez-Gonzalez of Grand Island; and his paternal Grandmother, Antonia Chavez-Gonzalez of Guatemala. Mr. Lopez-Gonzales was raised and received his education in Guatemala. He came to the United States in 1999, and has been a resident of Grand Island since 2000. He was employed at Swift and Company. He was preceded in death by his mother.
