Gloria E. Schievelbein, 67, of Grand Island, died Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Francis Medical Center. Graveside services will be on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mrs.Schievelbein was born on May 5, 1937 at Omaha, Nebraska to Irvin and Beulah (Major) McGinnis. Survivors of the immediate family include three sons and daughter-in-law, Charles & Rose Evans of Omaha, Joseph E. Oliva of Grand Island, and John Dee Oliva of Omaha; two daughters, Beulah Jahn of Hiawatha, Kansas, and Olivia Oliva of Omaha; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine Scott of Omaha. Mrs. Schievelbein received her education in Derby, Colorado, and Grand Island. She married Theodore Evans in 1954. She then married Fred Oliva in 1958. She was employed as a cook and bartender at Fonner Park and the Liederkranz. The family then moved to Omaha, and they owned and operated a gas station and repair shop. She married Glenn Schievelbein on October 28, 1976 in Aurora. Mrs. Schievelbein enjoyed crocheting, and video games. She was a member of the Eagles. Those who preceded her in death were her parents, her husband, Glenn in 1992; two sons, Ronnie Evans, and Irvin Oliva; one daughter, Vicki Evans; two brothers, Knute McGinnis, and Edward McGinnis; and one sister, Janet McGinnis.
